The Development Block of the College was reconstituted during the year 1988-89 and the Agricultural Assistants were placed at Chiplun, Veral (Tal. Khed), Wakawali (Tal. Dapoli), Kolthare (Tal. Dapoli), Karanjani (Tal. Dapoli) and Bhingaloli (Tal. Mandangad). Now, the block comprises of 70 villages from four tahsils of Ratnagiri district. In this reconstituted Block twelve Krishi Vikas Yuvak Mandals have been established with a view to involve the rural youth in planning and execution of the agricultural development programmes in the villages.
