Regional  Research Station, Vengurla, Dist. Sindhudurg is one of the centres of the Maharashtra State selected for pilot project on institution village linkage programme which is renamed as technology assessment and refinement through IVLP. The IVLP is implemented since May, 1996 at village Hodawade which is 16 km away from Regional Fruit Research station, Vengurle. Further, TAR through IVLP started from April 1988 in the same village. The project is implemented successfully based on the various indicators such as improved rice varieties , hybrid rice, area under vegetable production, intervention of forestry and animal husbandry components etc. In all 29 modules have been implemented in the project.
