  Planting
 
Spacing 6-8 metre pit size 1x1x1m, Filling of pit with 30-40 kg. F.Y.M. and 500 gm single super phosphateor 500 gm bone meal.
   
  Crop duration 
 
Perennial budded/grafted plants starts bearing third year.onwards after planting and continue up to 60-75 years under well managed condition.
    
  Varieties 
 
Krishna (NA-5) Neelam (NA – 7) Kanchan (NA –4) Chakaiya. are recommended for cultivation in Maharashtra and South Konkan region.
   
  Package of practices
    
  Training and pruning
 
A plant should be developed in the medium headed tree (head height 0.75 – 1 metre) and trained to modified central leader system. Regular pruning of bearing aonla tree is not required.
    
  Manuring
 
A dose of 10 kg FYM, 100 gm N, 50 gm P and 100 g K should be given to one year old plant. This dose should be increased yearly up to 10 years and thereafter constantdose should be given.
   
  Irrigation
 
In normal soils established aonla orchard do not required irrigation. However, under wasteland conditions irrigation with 15-20 days interval is desirable in dry summer particularly during early years of orchard establishment.
     
  Harvesting
 
Budded or grafted tree starts bearing third year onward after planting. Where as seedling tree may take 6-8 years. Vegetatively propagated plants attain full bering within 10-12 years and continue up to 60-75 years under well managed conditions.
    
  Yield
 
50-150kg/plant/year from general crop and from Improved vareities like Kanchan, Krishna, NA – 7, NA – 10 it is 100 to 200 kg fruits/plant/year.
