  Cultivated as rainfed crop. Varied type of climate but during flowring period rainless period required. For planting pits of 0.90cm3 are dug at 10m x 10m, depth of planting varies from 25 to 45 cm.

  Laterite to medium black, upland with well drainage required. pH 5.5 to 7.0

Irrigate for first three years and follow plant protection measures.

100 at 10m x 10m under Deogad conditions of hard rocky area, planting at 5 m x 5m in recommended for high density planting.

Six sprays of pesticides and fungicides for control of pests and diseases have been recommended, starting from October.

For 10 years and over following dose be given per plant /year.

100kg F.Y.M.

3.000kg urea

3.000kg single super phosphate

1.000kg muriate of potash

Graded doses be given for younger plants based on age.

 
   
  Yield  
  Average – 250 fruits/year/tree from 10th year in Alphonso variety and in Kesar 625 fruits/year. Range – From 250- 1,000 fruits/year/tree in Alphonso and 625 to 2,000 in Kesar variety  
       
  Harvesting  
  14 anna mature fruits.  
     
  Method of Harvesting:  
  By use of Nutan mango harvester with stalk intact be harvested.  
     
  Additional points  
 
Use cultar for regular bearing in Alphonso variety @ 3.0ml per m diameter of plant from 10th year onwards, Remove weeds and loranthus and dead branches, apply 10% Bordeaux paste at the base of trunk up to 1m height. Spray 1% Bordeaux mixture in May-June on rainless days and again during October – November.
