Major Activities |
| |
The following research and other related activities are in progress |
| |
1. Collection, maintenance and evaluation of elite and exotic germplasm of different vegetables, tuber and fruit crops. |
| |
2. Crop improvement through different breeding techniques in above crops. |
| |
3. Evaluation and standardisation of package of practices of different field, fruit crops, vegetables and tuber crops. |
| |
4. The research work on soil and water conservation techniques for high rainfall area with lateritic soils. |
| |
5. Studies on irrigation requirement and water sacing techniques for different arable and fruit crops are in progress. |
| |
6. The work on production and supply of mango grafts, cadhew grafts and other important fruit crops is in progress. |
| |
7. Farmers rallies, demonstrations and field visits of the farmers are arranged regularly throughout the year. |
| |
8. The scientists and research workers of this research station are also involved in educational and extension activities. |
