  Major Activities
  The following research and other related activities are in progress
      1. Collection, maintenance and evaluation of elite and exotic germplasm of different vegetables, tuber and fruit         crops.
      2. Crop improvement through different breeding techniques in above crops.
      3. Evaluation and standardisation of package of practices of different field, fruit crops, vegetables and tuber crops.
      4. The research work on soil and water conservation techniques for high rainfall area with lateritic soils.
      5. Studies on irrigation requirement and water sacing techniques for different arable and fruit crops are in progress.
      6. The work on production and supply of mango grafts, cadhew grafts and other important fruit crops is in progress.
      7. Farmers rallies, demonstrations and field visits of the farmers are arranged regularly throughout the year.
      8. The scientists and research workers of this research station are also involved in educational and extension         activities.
